Tebogo has worked in the South African investment management industry for over 20 years, during which time he has occupied various leadership roles. Tebogo previously held the Director of Institutional Business position at Old Mutual Investment Group, where he coordinated and managed its institutional NCCF growth strategy and efforts. He co-founded and was CEO of Afena Capital for ten years and, before that, had worked at Investec Asset Management and Future growth Asset Management.

Robert (Rob) leads an experienced team in conducting comprehensive industry ESG research, the analysis of green growth opportunities, and promotes engagement on regulatory issues and local industry initiatives. Rob currently sits on the board of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) as the only emerging markets representative. Prior to joining the Responsible Investment team, he was a legal advisor at Old Mutual Investment Group for seven years. His legal and corporate governance background enables him to bring his knowledge of law and negotiation skills to the fore in promoting clients’ interests, while his extensive knowledge of the ESG ecosystem and support from a skilled and experienced team continue to carve out OMIG’s leading position in ESG product development and stewardship on the African continent.

Diana Sibanda
Prior to her appointment at CCBA, Diana provided science-based guidance and recommendations to clients, including governmental agencies, industries, businesses and the public, for the protection of water, waste, air quality resources and climate change. Diana has advised policymakers in the development of environmental regulations, technical standards and guidelines to ensure minimal environmental harm.
She has supported operations in multinational companies to maintain compliance with all applicable environmental legislation, regulatory protocols and frameworks for operations in South Africa, Australia, Germany, Brazil, USA, Netherlands, France, Mexico, Kenya, Ghana and Tanzania.
In her role at CCBA Diana has been the main advisor and guide on sustainability matters, driving the implementation of strategies to address environmental concerns including energy use, conservation, reduction of pollution, recycling, building and facility design, and general education on sustainability.

Kyle joined FirstRand in 2014 as a Trainee Accountant to complete his articles and experienced many different areas of the Bank before finding his initial home in FNB Commercial Strategic Acquisitions in 2017 gaining experience in the diverse world of dealmaking, business development and Commercial Banking.
In 2019, he was formally asked to lead the strategy for FNB Commercial on Alternative Energy, a niche area dedicated to the development and implementation of innovative advisory and lending products for commercial customers looking to procure Alternative Energy infrastructure for their business.
In 2021, Kyle’s portfolio was expanded to include leading the strategy for FNB Commercial on Climate Change, Sustainable Finance and other ESG Solutions, as FNB Business customers are becoming increasingly put under pressure to incorporate sustainable practices and reporting within their day-to-day operations.

Jan Fourie is the EVP for Scatec in Sub-Saharan Africa, a leading global and domestic renewable energy solutions provider and multi technology company that is accelerating access to reliable and affordable clean energy in high growth markets. Jan began his career as an engineer with a stint in nuclear power, before moving into the project environment of the energy and minerals sector.

Sasha Cook
Sasha Cook is a chartered account, having qualified in the UK with BDO Stoy Hayward. She moved into investment banking in 2008 with the Royal Bank of Scotland (London) until 2011, when she returned to South Africa and joined Standard Bank’s Leverage Finance and later Corporate Financing Solutions team.
Sasha has held various leadership positions within Standard Bank. In 2017 she was appointed as Head of the Corporate Financing Solutions, SA business based in Johannesburg. In 2019, Sasha moved back to Cape Town and held responsibilities as Head of Investment Banking for the Western Cape and as an Executive, Sustainable Finance. She is passionate about sustainability and working with stakeholders in the bank to drive and deliver the bank’s SEE strategy and embed sustainability into the bank’s DNA as well as working with clients to understand their ESG strategies and provide innovative solutions to support their sustainability journey. Sasha was recently appointed as Head of Sustainable Finance.

Franc Gray
Franc is the Chief Lending Officer at the fintech start-up Hohm Energy. A seasoned innovation and growth professional with over 15 years of senior executive experience across various industries, including power and energy, banking, insurance, and ICT. He has a proven track record of success in multiple geographies, including South Africa, the broader SADC region, the UK, Europe, and the US.
Career highlights include building a Home Energy Solution for a multinational South African fuel and energy company, the development and launch of a fully digital insurer, leading the delivery of first-to-market home loan solutions, founding a data-driven talent business, and establishing and running innovation programs in South Africa, Russia, the US, and the UK.
Franc holds an Industrial Psychology and Sociology degree and a Postgraduate in Business Management from WITS. He has also studied Leadership at Harvard Business School and Data Analytics through the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.

Richard Kriel has a bachelor’s in engineering from KwaZulu-Natal University and has held various positions in the Engineering field throughout his career. He currently manages the technical project portfolio at HEINEKEN South Africa and drives the companies’ ambition to become a Net-zero producer by 2030. He has a passion for the latest technology and more specifically how it can challenge the current architypes of production. Some of his key interests are in the ‘gamification’ of production in manufacturing settings and of course from a green perspective, the circular economy of production waste streams.

Shabeer Jhetam
Shabeer entered the recycling and waste management sector in 2002 following a 13-year career across various management positions, within Iscor (now ArcelorMittal) a large South African iron and steel company. For the next four years, he led the commercial and marketing functions for beverage can recycling company, Collect-a-Can.
He assumed leadership of The Glass Recycling Company (TGRC) in 2006 with the objective of promoting glass recycling in South Africa. This is underpinned by the social advancement of underprivileged communities through the creation of jobs and the development of skills in the recycling industry.
