Project Description

The tri-annual Forum on China-Africa Co-operation (FOCAC) took place in Dakar, Senegal earlier this week (November 29-30). The theme was how to “Deepen China-Africa partnership and promote sustainable development to build a China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era”.

As the delegates wrap up conversations in Dakar and look forward to the next summit, Business Day, in partnership with the Chinese Embassy in South Africa, is hosting a webinar to shine the spotlight on Africa’s trade and economic relationship with China, among others. Themed “FOCAC – mapping Africa-China relations post-COVID”, the webinar will be held on December 8 at 10am – 11.30am.

The webinar comes at a critical time as Africa is battling the COVID19 pandemic, which has killed millions around the world.

It will be moderated by broadcaster and TimesLIVE political analyst Eusebius McKaiser.
