The Gauteng Provincial Government will launch the Gauteng City Region Economic Growth and Development Plan (GCR-EDP) 2030. The GCR EGDP represents a strategic milestone for the province as we collectively position the Gauteng City Region as a globally competitive, integrated, and sustainable economic hub.
The GCR EGDP outlines a unified, province-wide economic development roadmap anchored on inclusive growth, industrialisation, spatial transformation, skills development, innovation, sustainability, and integrated government action. This plan consolidates key provincial priorities and outlines the strategic interventions required to stimulate inclusive growth, expand industrial capacity, enhance regional competitiveness, and strengthen spatial and economic integration across the province
The launch will convene leaders from government, business, academia, funding organisations, and civil society to explore how the plan will be translated into practical actions and measurable economic outcomes.
