{"id":555,"date":"2018-09-14T07:46:32","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T05:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arenaevents.africa\/events\/most-awards\/?p=555"},"modified":"2020-03-19T13:53:09","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T11:53:09","slug":"sights-and-sounds-from-the-2018-most-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arenaevents.africa\/events\/most-awards\/sights-and-sounds-from-the-2018-most-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Sights and sounds from the 2018 MOST Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Sights and sounds from the 2018 MOST Awards<\/h1>\n<p>The alcohol flowed, people danced their socks off, and catch-up sessions were the order of the night at the 2018 MOST Awards, held at The Wanderers Club last night (13 September).<\/p>\n<p>Not only did the 2018 edition celebrate winners from this year, but it was the 10th birthday party for the awards, which led to an even louder, rowdier bunch of attendees.<\/p>\n<p>Returning emcee, Jason Goliath, who has become part of the furniture with the awards, kept everyone entertained and in stitches, while media practitioners cheered on their colleagues who scooped awards.<\/p>\n<p>The MediaShop Johannesburg continued their winning ways, picking up the Media Agency of the Year honour, while AdColony claimed the Media Owner of the Year award.<\/p>\n<p>The two loudest ovations of the night, went to the Media Agency and Media Owner Legends, Carat\u2019s Celia Collins and Kaya FM\u2019s Greg Maloka respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Ricardo Lopes of Carat and Mike van Tonder of Ad Colony were awarded the Media Agency Rising Star and Media Owner Rising Star awards respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Two brand new, special awards were also handed out, the Media Agency of the Decade, and the Media Owner of the Decade. The former was awarded to The MediaShop Johannesburg.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"The MediaShop JHB wins the Media Agency of the Decade award\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o3YDRlRCNQI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The latter was jointly won by DStv Media Sales, and Tiso Blackstar Group.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode\"><iframe title=\"Joint winners named for Media Owner of the Decade award\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Wg_UeHKykbk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The after party was a raucous affair, which carried on late into the night. DJ Jazzy kept attendees entertained in Jacaranda FM\u2019s dance zone, while TransAfrica Radio\u2019s chill zone kept the mood mellow.<\/p>\n<p>One particularly popular feature was Outdoor Network\u2019s photo booth, which saw people photoshopped onto the cover of The Media magazine.
